Independent app
HitFactor is an independent training app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC), or any IPSC region, club, or official body.

IPSC is a registered trademark of the International Practical Shooting Confederation. All official rules and match guidelines remain the sole property of IPSC.
Training use only
HitFactor is intended for practice, training, and personal record-keeping. Saved sessions store your own training stage scores and Zero/Grouping work. Multi-string training, goal-time and what-if hit factor tools, session compare, and Run Again are training tools for reviewing and repeating your own work—they are not official match scoring. Saved Setups let you keep stage layout photos from matches for personal reference and inspiration—they are not official match records. The app is not a substitute for official match scoring systems such as WinMSS or IPSC ESS at sanctioned events.
Stage templates
Stage templates store target layouts, names, and optional photos without scores or time. They are intended to help you set up training stages quickly on your own device. Templates do not represent official stage designs, match setups, or certified course layouts.
Run videos
You may link a video from your photo library to a saved stage session for personal training review. HitFactor stores a reference to the video on your device—it does not copy or upload the video file. Linked videos remain in your photo library and are played through iOS when you choose to watch them in the app. Run videos are for your own training review only and are not official match footage or certified scoring records. When recording or linking videos at matches or ranges, you are responsible for complying with any venue, match director, or range rules regarding video recording.
Locked sessions
You can lock a saved session so it is not removed when you delete other sessions or use Delete All. Locked sessions are a personal organisation feature only. Locking a session does not make it an official match record or change how HitFactor should be used at sanctioned events.
Saved setup photos and share cards
When photographing stages at matches or ranges, you are responsible for complying with any venue, match director, or range rules regarding photography. HitFactor stores these photos only on your device and does not upload or publish them. Share Setup Card creates a branded image for personal sharing. Shared cards and setup photos are not official match documentation.
Backup export and import
Backup export creates a zip file on your device that you choose where to save or share. You are responsible for the security and handling of any backup files you create, including where they are stored and who can access them. Import backup replaces local app data with the contents of a file you select. Use backups only from sources you trust.
Translations
HitFactor is available in multiple languages. Translations are provided on a best-effort basis and some wording may be inaccurate. IPSC rule excerpts in the in-app Quick Reference remain in English. If anything in the app looks wrong, please contact us at info@hitfactor.com.au.
